Cancer is abnormal cell growth that has the potential of spreading to other parts of the body. This outgrowth can be controlled or killed with several sections of chemotherapy. There are tips to prevent cancer from happening before it develops in the body cells. 

The development of cancer in the body cells has possible symptoms such as lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and change in bowel movement. Other health challenges can indicate these symptoms as well. 

Tobacco use was said to have caused about 22% of cancer death. While, 10% are due to poor diet, lack of physical exercise, obesity, or excessive drinking of alcohol. In the developing world, 15 % are due to infections such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Human papillomavirus, HIV, and other infections.

Update your Vaccination

One of the tips to prevent cancer is vaccination. Vaccination can help lower cancer risk. Vaccine shots of human papillomavirus (HPV) can prevent most cervical cancer and other several cancers. The hepatitis B vaccine can help lower the risk of cancer of the liver. 

Reduce Alcohol intake

As you reduce your alcohol intake, the chances of having cancer reduce as well. Quitting alcohol is a good step in improving your health. You can take charge of your health by living healthy and eating healthy. The reduction of alcohol intake does not mean outright expulsion of chances of developing cancer. 

Stop Smoking

Avoidance of tobacco and every kind of smoke can take you several steps away from cancer. These include second-hand smoke. People who quit smoking cut the risk of having lung cancer. It helps the body fight against cancer. 

Exercise routinely 

Physical activities through scheduled exercises can help minimize the chance of growing cancerous cells. Exercises help to keep the body in shape. It helps with reproductive health in women, reduces the risk of breast cancer and colon cancer. It will also help you lose weight and stay fit.

Though, no single food can protect people from cancer. It involves a variety of foods and vegetables, whole grains, and many other minerals, vitamins that have demonstrated anti-cancer effects.  

Healthy Weight

Reduce your chance of having cancer by making healthy choices and developing healthy habits. Keeping a healthy weight, avoid tobacco, limit alcohol and eat healthily. Obesity increases the risk of many cancers, watch your calorie intake; eat less and burn more of it through exercise. 

Limiting Processed Meat

WHO has classified process meats including bacon, salami, ham as carcinogens. They are known as a cancer-causing agent. There is strong evidence that processed meats cause cancer. Eating processed meat increases the risk of bowel and stomach cancer. 

Regular Medical Check

Get screened regularly. Screening tests may detect breast cancer, cervical, colon cancer early before its effects become irreversible. When it is detected earlier, treatment is likely to work best. Lung cancer screening is recommended for those at high risk of developing it.
